Charles

Sadly, even a good thing cannot last. His clan was destroyed by internal fighting among its members and the plans of the evil Grandmaster, Meio. Alone in a world of warring city-states, the last and the best Strider, Chuck travels hoping to find his true purpose.

Charles (originally Chuck) is the Macintosh enthusiast who is always aiming for both Johnathan Gabriel and Tycho Brahe to one day submit to the Apple side. His dream finally came true in two seperate comics. He even helped Gabe get used to his first Mac experience.

Personality[]

Charles is an Apple-loving man and his life is mostly focused on the such company or the company's products. According to Gabe, Chuck was a "geek." While Chuck's personality is not directly explained in detail, Charles' one is shown in parts.

Charles seems to be snarky or teasing towards Tycho and Gabe, yet a suave and laid-back figure. Unlike Tycho and Gabe, he has no tendency of direct violence, but tends to tease them because of his use of Apple Inc.

When Bungie decided to show Halo for the Macintosh, they decided that it was not coming out for such a computer, which led to Chuck trying to attempt suicide by jumping out of his window. He survived the incident and was completely re-modelled into the purportedly "coolest" character in the comic.

His phrase at that point became "shut your pie hole", said in a variety of ways.

Trivia[]

While his surname is never mentioned in the webcomic, it is mentioned as DuBois in the episode 2 of Penny Arcade Adventures.
It's unknown what his prefered games are, but he was implied (or at least tried) to play Quake III and Halo.
According to the "Cast" section, his birthday is January 14.
He has taken his goggles off since the May 27, 2013 (warning for depiction of blood) strip until the January 3, 2014 one.
