Questions And Concerns

Cast: Tycho, Gabe

Transcript Edit

Panel 1

{Tycho and Gabe are sat in the cinema. Tycho is holding crisps, and Gabe is holding popcorn.}
Advert: "So drink your Powerade... We have quotas to meet."
Gabe: I have some serious problems with this advertisement.

Panel 2

{Scene change. Gabe and Tycho are leaving the cinema. Gabe has his hands raised slightly.}
Gabe: If we're in the Matrix right now, as it suggests, any Powerade we might consume would be virtual. How could virtual Powerade refresh our physical bodies, suspended in solution? It's preposterous.

Panel 3

{Scene change. Gabe and Tycho are stood in their house. Gabe is pointing at Tycho.}
Gabe: Here's another thing: If we are in the Matrix, didn't he just kinda ruin it by telling us so? "Hey, humans - you're totally in the Matrix."
Tycho: Perhaps he was a rogue agent, acting without authorization from the cybernetic core.

Panel 4

{Gabe lowers his hand. Tycho points upwards.}
Gabe: But if he were a rogue agent, wouldn't he want us to avoid Powerade in an effort to disrupt the flow of power to our steel masters?
Tycho: However, we're established that virtual Powerade has no effect on our corporeal bodies.
Gabe: Ahhhhhhh.
