As Penny Arcade's being a webcomic, there is the website of the comic. It is updated several times since 1999.

Key[]

  • DDL is an abbreviation for a "drop-down list," which has entries if a user clicked the list's "unfolding" button.
  • CTA is an abbreviatuon for a "call-to-action."

Site Features[]

In the current version of the website, it has comics, news, video, podcasts, stories, archive, and store. Among the features, the Archive page has haven a DDL consisting its entries, but during some updates, it is replaced with a search bar and random comics.

1990s-2000[]

It is the oldest (or at least known as the oldest) design of the website and features a blue banner.

Front Page[]

  • On an archived version which was archived October 4 1999, the news section has an icon of Tycho Brahe. The sidebar consists of the main comic with its archive, The Bench spin-off, Cast page, Cool Stuff section, and two CTAs to mail Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins.

Comic Page[]

In both of the 1999 version and the later version, a comic page features blue CTAs which are "back," "home," and "next," respectively. Also, below a strip, there is the "Penny Arcade" text with a DDL (in the 1999 version) or the such archive icon (in the later version).

Cast[]

The design featured the "cast" page which has Gabe, Tycho, and Charles. It is the first source which have some characters' detailed lore such as blood types and birthdays.
