Penny Arcade Expo 2005 (abbreviated PAX 2005) took place from August 26 to August 28, 2005 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington, where the first PAX was held.

Omegathon II Edit

Twenty pre-registered contestants of PAX 2005 took part in the second Omegathon chosen by the Penny Arcade duo. The prize was the complete collection of NES games being roughly estimated at $10,099.99. It was locked up in a cage in the exhibition room and also included two Star Wars-themed Alienware gaming PCs; one for the winner and one for the runner-up.

In a four round match, Luke "Coreside" Armstrong defeated Will "LeRoy" Garroutte by a single point to win the best-of-three series and take home the grand prize.
